A Summary of the ER'97 Workshop on Behavioral modeling

The ER'97 Workshop on Behavioral Modeling was held to consider the questions of what constitutes a "good" behavioral model, and assuming we have such a "good" behavioral model, what issues related to design transformations we should explore. This very international workshop included interesting and highquality papers on both of these topics. The proceedings are available electronically through the World-Wide Web [10]. This paper summarizes the contributions of the Behavioral Modeling workshop and suggests directions for future research in behavioral modeling.
